How we work

A Florida opening runs in six stages. Each has its own timeline and decision points, and you know where you stand at every one.

1. Qualifying call

Free and without obligation. We go through your project, your budget and your timeline, and tell you straight whether the E-2 visa is the right route for you.

2. Scoping the project

City, restaurant format, investment amount, calendar. This is where we settle the choice between taking over and building from scratch, and where the budget takes its final shape, liquor license included.

3. Restaurant search and case preparation

Finding the business or the premises, negotiating the lease, acquisition due diligence. In parallel, the business plan and the E-2 case take shape with the attorney.

4. Company, licenses, build-out, suppliers

Forming the LLC or Corporation, EIN registration, licenses and permits, inspections, kitchen fit-out, introductions to food suppliers and contractors.

5. Settling the family in

Housing, school, banking, driver’s license, health cover. This starts before opening, not after: it is the difference between a calm arrival and six months of administrative scrambling.

6. Opening, then ongoing support

After opening we stay involved: an annual review against the visa requirements, reminders of the two-yearly exit and re-entry and of your renewal deadlines, and support if you start considering a second venue.

Let us talk about your project

The first call is free and without obligation. After that conversation we send you a detailed proposal setting out our support packages and the fees matched to your project.
